Using the
mimeolight
Create a "keitai ke-su" (cellphone cozy) with two
mimeolights that twinkle when the case is closed.
Of course, you can
change how they twinkle by flashing a light source or waving your hands at them.

For this project, you'll need two mimeolights, a pair of magnetic snaps, a 3V
battery (CR2032), some conductive thread, and pieces of felt.
Cut the felt to fit your phone, then arrange
them to figure out where the mimeolights, battery, and snaps will go.

Circuit overview
The magnetic snaps are conductive, so when they are
snapped together, the circuit is completed and energy flows
from the battery to both mimeolights.
The lights are connected in "parallel" which allows them to share the same
amount of energy. You can connect many mimeolights to the same battery this way.

Battery holder to first snap (plus)
First, we'll create a small pocket for the battery. The main body will be
serve as the plus part of the holder, and the smaller semi-circle will be
connected to minus.
Make several wide stitches with conductive thread through the felt,
over and over again, within the border marked above. The end result should
be bumpy so it will make good contact with the battery.
With the same thread, work your way towards one of the snaps. Secure the
snap with several stitches.
Tie a knot and cut.
You must cut your conductive thread before proceeding.
Battery holder (minus)
Now, with a new section of thread, make several stitches through the
semi-circle, making sure these stitches stay within the battery's smaller
circle. The final stitch must pass over the felt, as shown, to avoid
touching any part of the previous thread.
Make sure the sections of conductive thread, as marked with the different
ovals, do not touch each other.

Battery holder to mimeolights (minus)
Work your way towards the mimeolights. In our case, the battery holder is on
the back of the case, and the lights will be sewn in the front. Make sure
you are about to sew the unmarked hole. This is minus. Flip over the
mimeolight, and poke a small opening in the felt for the light to shine
trough.
Make several passes over this mimeolight, work your way to the other
mimeolight, attach it, then cut the thread.
This completes the minus section of the circuit,
cut your conductive thread before proceeding.

Mimeolights to second snap (plus)
With a fresh piece of thread, attach the second snap in the same manner as
the first.
Work the thread towards the mimeolights.
Check one last time that you are about to sew to the holes marked "+".
Attach securely by sewing several stitches.
Finish the battery holder
Place the battery plus side down. With non-conductive thread, carefully
stitch the semi-circle to the main body so it snugly holds the battery.
Test
Close the snaps, and the mimeolights should twinkle for a few seconds.
Proceed to finish up your cozy with regular (non-conductive) thread.
